Job Title: Hotels Asset Manager
Location: Hybrid - London Office (with travel to regional hotels as required)
Reports to: Head of Hotels Asset Management
Role Overview: We are seeking a Hotel Asset Manager to support the strategic and financial performance of our portfolio of five hotels. This role will be pivotal in delivering data-driven insights to inform decision-making on operational efficiencies, investment opportunities, and long-term value creation.
Working closely with the Head of Hotels Asset Management, you will develop business intelligence tools, analyse key performance metrics, and build financial models to evaluate investment opportunities such as refurbishments and ROI-driven projects. Your insights will help shape the strategic direction of our hotels, ensuring that every decision is backed by robust data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence & Data Analytics • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisation tools to track financial and operational performance. • Analyse key business metrics (RevPAR, GOPPAR, TRevPAR, ADR, occupancy, etc.) and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. • Collaborate with hotel GMs and the cluster support team to improve data accuracy and reporting processes. • Benchmark performance against market data, competitive sets, and industry trends.
Investment Analysis & Strategic Decision Support • Support the Head of Hotels Asset Management in evaluating investment opportunities across the portfolio, including refurbishments and repositioning strategies. • Support and assist on coordination of any future hotel acquisition or disposal processes. • Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analyses for capital projects, ensuring financial viability. • Build business cases for strategic initiatives, presenting data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. • Work with finance and operations teams to assess the impact of potential changes, such as new brand affiliations or partnerships. Financial Modelling & Forecasting • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities. • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing analytical insights. Operational & Commercial Performance Enhancement • Leverage data analytics to shape key agenda points for monthly trading reviews. Track agreed actions and
ensure effective implementation and performance. • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies using data analysis. • Provide insights on pricing strategies, distribution channel performance, and customer segmentation. • Work with the marketing and revenue teams to assess the effectiveness of commercial initiatives. Key Skills & Experience: • Strong background in financial analysis, data analytics, or business intelligence. • Hotels or related hospitality industry experience essential. • Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, Power BI (or similar BI tools), and data visualisation techniques.
• Experience with hotel performance metrics and benchmarking tools such as STR, HotStats, or similar. • Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations. • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a commercial mindset and attention to detail. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels. • Experience in investment analysis, feasibility studies, or ROI calculations is highly desirable.
